Google Fiber to acquire dark fiber leasing contract in Colorado Springs

Google’s fiber division has reached an agreement to acquire a dark fiber leasing contract in Colorado Springs. The transition of the network infrastructure is scheduled to coincide with Ting Fiber’s planned exit from the Colorado Springs market in late March 2027.

The move represents a transfer of infrastructure access as Ting Fiber concludes its operations in the region. Further technical details regarding the integration of the leased capacity into Google Fiber’s existing infrastructure have not been disclosed.
