Researchers construct climate-regulating pavilion from 3D printed earth bricks

Researchers from the Material Topology Research Lab (MTRL) at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology and the Tree Lab at the Weizmann Institute of Science have completed the construction of a project titled BUSTAN. The structure is a full-scale pavilion composed of 178 earth bricks created through robotic 3D printing technology.

The project aims to explore the integration of additive manufacturing and natural material science to influence environmental conditions, specifically focusing on regulating the climate around an olive tree.
