Era4 has released initial details regarding a new hyperscale data center project situated at the site of a former steelworks in Newport, Wales. The company indicated that the facility is part of a significant infrastructure development, with the first graphics processing units (GPUs) scheduled to come online next year.
While the project is currently in its early stages of deployment, the scale of the development is substantial, with the site potentially reaching a capacity of 1GW as it progresses.
