Digital asset and stablecoin infrastructure provider Fireblocks has formally addressed and dismissed circulating reports claiming that the company is engaged in acquisition discussions with global payments giant Visa.
Recent media speculation had suggested that a deal valued at $2.5 billion was under consideration. In response to these claims, Fireblocks stated that the reports are “news to us,” distancing the organization from any such proposed merger or acquisition activity.
As of this reporting, no official confirmation from either party has emerged to support the existence of such negotiations, and the infrastructure firm has characterized the claims as unfounded.
