Interpol’s Operation Serengeti results in 1,462 arrests and $105 million in recoveries

Interpol has concluded the third annual iteration of Operation Serengeti, a coordinated international effort targeting criminal activities. The operation, which involved cooperation across 20 African countries and the United States, resulted in 1,462 arrests.

Beyond the arrests, authorities successfully recovered $105 million in stolen funds. This initiative underscores the maturing investigative capabilities of participating law enforcement agencies as they address complex, cross-border digital and financial crime networks.

As these investigations reach their current milestone, the operation highlights the ongoing efforts by global police organizations to disrupt organized criminal infrastructure and reclaim assets obtained through illegal activities.
