Vantage has entered into a supply agreement with Heron Power to provide 1GW of capacity using the company’s Heron Link solid-state transformer (SST) technology. The deal marks a significant step in the procurement of advanced power management hardware for Vantage’s data center portfolio.
Solid-state transformers serve as a critical component in managing electrical distribution within energy-intensive environments, such as large-scale data centers. By utilizing advanced power electronics, SSTs are designed to offer enhanced control and efficiency over traditional electromagnetic transformer designs, which is increasingly relevant as data centers face growing power density requirements.
The agreement focuses on the integration of Heron Power’s specific hardware solution, the Heron Link, into Vantage’s infrastructure deployments. As the demand for robust and efficient digital infrastructure grows, the adoption of solid-state power technologies represents an evolving effort to optimize grid connectivity and electrical delivery for hyperscale and enterprise facilities.
