NTT and Docomo are set to launch a pilot program centered on the implementation of artificial intelligence to manage telecommunications base stations. This initiative aims to optimize energy consumption patterns and enhance the integration of renewable energy sources within their network infrastructure.
By leveraging AI, the companies intend to improve the efficiency of demand response, a mechanism that adjusts energy usage based on grid conditions. The pilot program is currently scheduled for completion by the end of December.
