BigRep returns to private ownership and unveils ALTRA 670 3D printer

BigRep GmbH, the Berlin-based manufacturer specializing in large-format industrial 3D printing technology, has completed a transition back to private ownership. The move comes approximately two years after the company entered the public markets. Shareholders have formally approved a restructuring plan that consolidates the company’s ownership under three of its existing primary investors: Koehler Invest GmbH, DeKrassny GmbH, and Hage Holding GmbH.

Concurrent with the announcement of this corporate restructuring, the company introduced the ALTRA 670, its latest large-format 3D printing system. While specific technical performance data for the ALTRA 670 were not provided in the announcement, the product continues BigRep’s focus on industrial-scale additive manufacturing solutions.

The return to a private corporate structure marks a significant shift for the company, which had previously navigated the requirements of being a publicly traded entity. The support from its core investor group signals a move to simplify operations as the company pivots to the rollout of its new hardware platform.
